[ACLU-announce] Sunday May 20th ACLU Event in San Jose

Dear Friends of the Santa Clara Valley ACLU --
 
The May 20th ACLU-SCV Don Edwards Award Event is less than a week away!
 
It will he held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. this coming Sunday at the Hotel Sainte Claire.
 
Please join other civil liberties supporters to celebrate at this annual Santa Clara Valley chapter event! 

The program will be one hour for award presentation and keynote, one hour for reception.
 
Speakers will be:
Rick Tulsky, a Pulitzer-winning Mercury News journalist, who will receive the 2007 Don Edwards Civil Liberties Award for the 2006 series "Tainted Trials, Stolen Justice"
Cookie Ridolfi, Director of the Northern California Innocence Project, on "Wrongful Convictions: Causes & Reforms"
Call 408-327-9357 today and leave your name, the number attending, and a follow-up phone number, and we will reserve your place for this event. You can pay the $35 registration ($15 student or senior) at the door by cash or check.  

(No tickets will be issued for this event. We will be keeping a list of names at the door.) 
 
The Sainte Claire Hotel is located at 302 S. Market (corner of San Carlos) in San Jose.
