HELP DEFEAT "PARENTAL NOTIFICATION (4)" AND "SAME SEX MARRIAGE BAN (8)"
The South Bay ACLU Campaign Against Prop 4 & Prop 8 will kick off at 1:30 pm Saturday Sept. 20th.
Location: Santa Clara City Central Park Library -- 2635 Homestead Rd. -- Redwood Community Room
Join San Jose ACLU Office Director Skyler Porras just prior to our ACLU-SCV annual meeting to hear:
-- ACLU-NC's plans to defeat Prop. 4 (Parental Notification) and Prop 8 (Ban on Same Sex Marriage)
-- How & Where South Bay activists can participate in these campaigns by joining local phone banks
-- Where you can pick up yard signs, bumper stickers, and materials to share with friends and neighbors
Then be sure to stick around for the ACLU-SCV ANNUAL MEETING at the Santa Clara City Central Park Library on Saturday, September 20th, from 2:30 - 4:30 pm. A member reception will follow from 4:30 - 5:30 pm.
Come hear reports from chapter officers, a review of the positions ACLU-NC has taken on Props 4, 6, 8, 9 (all NO) and 5 (YES), and a keynote by attorney Danielle Jones on "Re-integrating ex-Offenders in Santa Clara Valley."
