Attend the San Jose Police Records Hearing
and Support Open Records!

Dear Friend of the ACLU of Santa Clara Valley,

This Tuesday October 14th, from 9 am - 12 noon, the Rules Committee of the San Jose City Council will discuss a proposal by the San Jose Sunshine Reform Task Force to require that records of the San Jose Police Department be made available upon request to the public.  The Santa Clara Valley chapter of the ACLU of Northern California supports this reform which will increase the transparency of the SJ Police Department as well as improve the level of public trust in San Jose.

We need Santa Clara Valley residents who support this reform to attend the Rules Committee hearing next Tuesday at San Jose City Hall and speak for one or two minutes each in favor of the San Jose Sunshine Reform Task Force recommendations for the SJPD.  Please join us!
